First you have a nice parking lot (bit small) @ that is well maintained then you get mostly Clean sand. Of take the sweet plastic boardwalk to the water. But don't forget the lighthouse (please don't forget the lighthouse )

If you're staying in Ludington or the surrounding areas, I think this may be a good option for a day visit.

We have only visited it as a day visitors, so cannot comment on park facilities for campers. We hiked some trails and enjoyed the big beach.

This is a beautify done park..

We didn't camp but did check the campground out. I was amazed at how big the park was. This is a park that you would definitely want to bring a bicycle to! Everything is spaced out, plus there are lots of trails to ride. It looked liked a great time for all!

My wife and I really enjoyed our time checking out the state park. We would like to camp here sometime maybe next season but only stopped in for a day trip this time. The trails are nice and offer different terrains to walk on. Definitely take water with you if you plan to do some of the bigger loops. The campgrounds seemed packed so I would think a reservation would be a good idea. If you are looking for a more secluded camping experience, this may not be the place for you tough as the campsites are close to each other

Great views amazing hikes and dog friendly. We spent a day here just enjoying the views, dunes and water. You have got to see this gem if you haven’t

It has a lovely beach for Michigan Lake with amenities to play volleyball or other beach games.

It's a great park that offers a good variety of options. You can hike (long or short), kayak, fish, cycle etc. It has the warm Hamlin Lake that flows into the cold Michigan Lake, so you can take a short kayak or tube ride down the river from one to the other.
