The worst doctor I have ever encountered. He only makes his decisions based on his own personal religious beliefs and if you disagree then he belittles you. I went to him because I was having severe period pain and wanted to find out why but instead all he did was try to push birth control on me after I specifically said that I did not want it because of how sick it made me. He then began treating me like a child, ignored all of my concerns about my period and went back to talking about birth control. I had asked him numerous times about different tests that he could run before prescribing me anything and he proceeded to tell me that none of the tests work and the only way to diagnose me was surgery. A friend of mine who went to him for her pregnancy wanted to have a c-section because she was carrying so large and Murphy refused until the last minute because of his "religious beliefs". He also told me he didn't like the IUD implant because it's just an "abortion agent" and it also goes against his "religious beliefs" but he pushed and convinced my friend's wife to use it instead of the depo shot. I've seen numerous horror stories from other families who have gone to him and I'm surprised he's still allowed to practice. If you're looking for a decent gynecologist you should go to anyone else except for him, I cannot stress this enough. He will never have your best interest in mind.
Dr. Murphy has helped me with various medical issues. He is very compassionate. Having PTSD, it's important that I have a Dr. I can feel at ease with. Grateful for his care and guidance.
I have been a patient of Dr. Murphy for a few years and have been very happy with the care I have received. My health problem was complicated and he took the time to listen to me. He even followed up after hours stopping at the hospital to check on test results. I am so glad he was able to find out what was wrong and set me on a path to health and healing. The staff at the office is also friendly and caring. My experience has been a good one through the whole thing.
My husband and I just began our fourth pregnancy journey with Dr Murphy and wouldn't go anywhere else! Our first pregnancy we were scared, we were young, and he helped us see that it was a wonderful thing. My first pregnancy ended with a miscarriage. Dr Murphy worked us into his schedule to care for me. He kept us fully informed of my care while treating us with true compassion. A few months later, we were expecting and terrified. He helped us through the pregnancy and was there to welcome my daughter into the world! 2 years later he was with us as we welcomed our son. Both times he called and checked in with me while I labored through the night. I am over halfway with my fourth pregnancy and am beyond satisfied with my care. My questions and concerns never go unanswered. I hear back on test results almost instantly. I recommend Dr Murphy to anyone who is looking for thorough, compassionate, and extraordinary care!
