We just moved to Ludington Michigan. Had our new home built. Of course there are many things we are doing ourselves. We purchased all of our appliances from Home Depot. Mike one of the sales reps assisted us with our purchase. He saved us time and money on our purchase. Jennifer another sales rep. also assisted us on receiving a refund of over $500 on our original purchase due to the fact that there was a appliance special that was going on after our original purchase date. Wow neither my husband or myself could believe that we walked out of the Home Depot with an additional 500 bucks. Another associate Jim greeted us when we walked into the Home Depot, remembering us from when we ordered our blinds for our new home. A. J. Also helped us by letting us know when the best time would be to purchase our appliances. Each and every associate we have come in contact with at the Ludington Home Depot have been great. The checkout people to all the sales associates could not have treated us better. WE THANK ALL OF THEM FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS. Larry and Chris Brown new Ludington Michigan residents.
I waited for it to be cut and then was told I had to pay full price 8 foot board. I told the employee I would not pay that at this time especially after being told I could just purchase the 2 feet I needed. I was then told it would be 70% off the original price for the full board I took out of the trash. I did expect to pay for it but at a reasonable price. Well things were rung up. I had to take the whole board even the broken 4 1/2 foot piece. I looked at my receipt once I got home. I did not get the 70% off like I was told. Wow! You were going to toss the whole piece in the trash. I offered to purchase it at a discount. At least you could have been honest on the percentage. My question is how many times had this happened? I wonder how many others also remodeled their complete kitchen appliances included and bathroom? Purchased a snow blower, hot water heater etc. How much has Home Depot made by lieing to customers about discounts? Watch your receipt.
Here's a thought. Instead of tossing wood that still could be used cut the bad pieces off, price it, put it in the clearance area. But don't lie about the discount the customer was told they would get.
The store was not willing to work with me at all! I'm a veteran and tried to buy a $2000 fridge and they weren't going to give me veteran discount, but Lowe's would. The fridge there was slightly better but not worth $400 more. Then when I asked the store manager if they could work with me at all he said no. So not only not friendly management, but proceeded to explain the reason why is because it's already so much off they're losing money! Also it was black friday so sorry but losing money I don't buy it. NEEDLESS TO SAY I WENT TO LOWE'S!!!!!!!! Not only did the blue guys exceptionally beat their price, but staff was way more polite and willing to help!!!!
I was there to exchange a medicine cabinet that arrived damaged. Everything was great except one thing. The cashier at the service desk called someone to check to see if there was another one in stock like the computer indicated. The person called right back saying definitely no more in stock. We returned the damaged item. Ordered a new one. After that I decided to walk back and check myself. Sure enough there is one. The damage to the original med cabinet had to have been a previous return because someone drilled holes in one of the doors scratching the mirror in the process. If it was a return, which it had to be, the item was resealed and put back on the shelf without anyone checking for damage. I live around 25 miles from the Ludington store. Because of this I didn't get my job done on time, made an extra 50 mile drive, and waisted 1.5 hours of my time. Also it would have cost all that over again had I not gone back to check the stock myself. Cashier was very helpful.
Great people even though I bought the wrong part..
Most Employees very helpful. I needed a 1 x 2 x 24 treated to replace a procken part on a chair. There was none to be found that size. Then I saw a pile on a cart in the back of the store. I found out it was trash. I went up front and asked if I could purchase 2 feet of it at a discount price. The board was a 1 x 8 x 8 treated
