In summary, i felt at home, everything was of an unusually high standard which created a fresh atmospheric feel to it and making my stay enjoyable and this is now my first choice of motel.
The Avenue checks all the boxes for me. The double room enough for 2 people, was at a very good price for me. it was a short walk to the tourist shops and sit in restaurants. There is a good coffee shop in the area called The Book Mark, and the beach is close. The best thing is the Owners have taken pride in their motel/rooms as they are clean, not dusty, modern and styled, soft colours match, comfy bed, laminate floor, powerful new ac unit (quiet i think) , showers are attractive and properly tiled not plastic, the reception staff is very approachable and in constant contact with the owners. Little touches were quality bottles of water and nice ornaments. A bonus was they have coffee, muffin, youghurt and a little more for the guests in the morning founded in the reception area. I would recommend the much larger self contained room with 2 doublebeds for families.
I have been in the Ludington area for nearly a year now. My critera is price, distance from the town/beach, decor/modern feel of room, cleanliness, staff you can talk to.... based on 2 people and a double room.
As did not need a bbq outside or pool, I give Avenue Motel 5 stars.
Wow the staff is awesome. Gave us towels to wipe the motorcycles in the morning. Really enjoyed our stay
I stayed there two weekends last summer and plan on it this summer as well. Terrific, modern rooms, clean, fair prices and great location and staff. Highly recommended.
Very nice place. Room was comfortable and very nicely decorated. Coffee and rolls in the morning. A little noisy with traffic, but not real bad.
Beautiful little motel on the main strip and close to the lake. Rooms are updated and clean. Will return for a future stay.
I have stayed in 4 motels for minimum of a week in each and 2 of them sadly was not up to my liking because of the lack of investment in them.
