Used several storage units moving around michigan, this one is the best, meets my standards, units well maintained, owners are very nice and accommodating.
If I could give this place a negative rating, I would. Horrible. Half of my things in storage got ruined from water and mold damage from snow. I was responsible for snow removal from the unit door, which I always did. But when going through the devastating damage of my belongings, I saw that the water had come from the back of my unit. Upon further inspection, I saw the ceiling had been leaking badly also and it appeared the water was coming through from the unit behind mine too. It was NOT from my neglecting to shovel away snow. When I called the owner, that is when things got even worse. He is an awful man. He refused to hear a word I had to say about any of my expensive loss and said it was all my fault from not shoveling. He wouldn't listen to me about the water damage having come from above and behind and that the front of my unit was dry and that I had always shoveled. He yelled at me the entire time and at the end of the conversation he called me a bi*#h and hung up. I hadn't yelled at him or said anything derogatory. I was calm and professional and I cannot believe he treated me that way after all the money I had given him and always been loyal. What a miserable human being he is an an even more miserable storage unit. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!! THEY DON'T TAKE CARE OF THEIR UNITS. BE WARNED....
Manager was extremely rude. A lot of my boxes got wet and moldy and their excuse it's my responsibility to keep snow removed from my door however the person behind me didn't keep snow removed and it leaked all the way through. Their door seals suck in general. Sand got through and coated the first 3 feet of my furniture. If your renting a storage unit and they decide to raise the prices your not grandfathered in. You either pay the new price or ger out. They dont pro rate. And again I can't express how rude the owner is.
