A friend recommended me to Dr. Paxton and I am so glad I took her advice. I like that he always takes time to really talk to us or even chew us out for giving the dogs to many treats! He had to give us some bad news about one of our dogs a few months ago. He was great explaining our options and supporting our decision. Since then I have received emails asking how she is doing. I can call or email with questions, I always get a prompt response from a staff member. The office is staffed with professional, well trained, friendly, caring members. I can't say enough good things about these Doctors and their staff.
We have been going to Ludington Animal Hospital for over 15 years and the staff are like family. Our dogs love everyone - they stop and wait at the office door every time we go for a walk. They are the most caring and gifted veterinary staff! From simple to serious - they provide excellent care, instruction, and support.
By the way, we named Quigley after Tom Selleck if you didn’t catch that
The girls at the front desk are very nice! Dr. Paxton on the other hand..is very VERY rude. Never in my life has a veterinarian ever treated me so rudely. I will not be going there again!
I highly recommend them. The other customers I’ve met there have also always been very nice :) Ludington Animal Hospital has VERY competitive prices for pet upkeep when you think about how pleasant it is to go there! They’re only several dollars more or so than the cheapest places I have looked at before (and I am obsessed with finding deals

I am very pleased with the time and care Dr. Paxton and Dr. Leslie have provided for my active dog. Each visit they have given thorough explanations and guidance, especially when it came to making a decision in regards to a possible surgery. Their staff is professional, caring, and always welcome you with a smile. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking a veterinarian.
We love the Paxton’s and all their polite beautiful helpers! By far the best veterinarians I have taken my pets to in my life. We only started going to see them when Quigley Down Under was just a little fluff bean, he is 2.5 years old now, a blue heeler/Australian Cattle Dog, and we just rescued Lila a couple weeks ago, she loves them too ^_^ she’s also blue heeler but a little bit of border collie, they are both happy to have friends now and it was very easy to get all of Lila’s new records, vaccines & exam done quick (i had some trouble with her previous owner sadly, who I’m Under the imlresssion now lied to me about all her vaccinations!) The woman I got her from also will not transfer me her microchip contact info over! But Dr Paxton was super understanding about it despite how much of a nervous wreck ive been about trying to figure it out! The scanner for her chip wouldn’t even read! Dr Paxton wrote a letter for me to send to the company along with the records of her license and current vaccines, though they say I only needed to submit one record, Dr Paxton wrote me the letter anyway for the peace of mind. AND, the company still has not replied to me! Luckily, the chip that we got Quigley has a profile that let me register Lila’s number right next to him, with photos of them and everything. So, I’m not sure yet what will happen with the chip, but I am not worried at all that it won’t get figured out, and she is so perfect, they never run off, I just get scared they will be stolen because they’re both so dang cute
Lila is taken care of for now besides the old owners info still registered to her chip.... And she gets to come back and visit Ludington Animal Hospital to visit when I bring Quigley in to get weighed before I buy their next few months worth of interceptor plus and bravecto. They are edible intestinal/heartworm and edible flea/tick prevention that work great, and the Animal Hospital is a better deal to buy such things than say 1800PetMeds or similar, because they are going to give me rebates now that I’m buying for two dogs. We are all very happy!
Go check them out! Even if you just go to meet them and get a nail trim! You will come back for everything after that! :)
Go meet the Paxton’s and all their nice vet techs! You will not regret it. It may be expensive to take care of your fur babies as much as they are supposed to be, but they are our children and they deserve to be treated at such a nice place as the Ludington Animal Hospital.
