We came to visit friends in Michigan and rented sleds from the owner Bill (which seemed very nice "at first"). I called the prior day to check on the "free room" on the website that "Bill" said the rooms are here if you need them. Well when I spoke to Bill the prior night he said the drop off was not going to work and the rooms were no longer available. Once I got upset with Bill regarding the room and asked for some sort of discount on the sled Bill asked, "Do you just want to cancel these sleds because I have people lined up at the door for these sleds". I told him I would discuss with my friends and call him back. When I called him back and told him I was cancelling he got very upset and said "well, you cant just cancel these sleds!", very rude and unprofessional. As our conversation went on we tried to reason with him for something different we could arrange and he proceeded to be very rude so we cancelled. I called my credit card and there was the charge already held 786.00 with no rental contract signed and no return policy on there website AT ALL. So the next morning Bill calls and asked were to drop off the sleds. I told him we already cancelled and Bill was so rude I was shocked. Bills exact words to me were, "I would love to charge your credit card and not give you these sleds mam"!. I had to hang up and have my husband call him back and cancel. He was very rude to my husband and said he does hundreds of thousands dollars a year with credits cards and he will charge our card. So, since Bill is so professional you would think he would make customers sign a contract with him or have a cancellation policy but he does not. He also charged us for delivery which says free delivery on the website.
So to sum this up, I would never recommend renting from this company at all. Bill the owner is very unprofessional especially when things are not his way. I am writing letters to the better business bureau and the Michigan Snowmobile Association because I would think before someone charges you over 900.00 for something they would have a return or cancellation policy. Now our credit card company is taking care of it.
